Oklahoma Task Force Seizes Over 72,000 Pounds of Illicit Cannabis in Major Operation

MRBOklahoma Task Force Seizes Over 72,000 Pounds of Illicit Cannabis in Major Operation

A law enforcement task force in Oklahoma aimed at combating illegal marijuana operations has seized over 72,000 pounds of illicit cannabis in one of the state’s largest-ever seizures. The seizure took place during a search at a Wagoner County business, uncovering the illicit marijuana inside a metal barn. On the same day, an inspection at a Lincoln County medical marijuana facility led to the discovery of untagged cannabis in a car, resulting in the execution of another search warrant and the seizure of 250 pounds of illegal marijuana. Oklahoma’s medical marijuana market faces oversupply issues, and efforts to combat illegal operators have increased, with recent raids and closures of illicit marijuana businesses. The state has also extended the ban on new medical marijuana licenses until 2026.
