FinTechCapgemini and Euroclear Achieve Milestone with Launch of Digital Securities Issuance Service

On November 21, 2023, Capgemini and Euroclear announced a successful collaboration to launch the Digital Securities Issuance (D-SI) service, a significant milestone in Euroclear’s Digital Financial Market Infrastructure (D-FMI) strategy. This service facilitates the issuance, distribution, and settlement of fully digital international securities, known as Digitally Native Notes (DNN), using distributed ledger technology (DLT).

Capgemini played a pivotal role as the lead system integrator for the D-FMI program, offering a comprehensive range of services, including consulting, design, implementation, and testing. The company was instrumental in integrating and orchestrating the new D-FMI platform within Euroclear’s existing systems and infrastructure.

The success of the D-FMI program is a substantial step towards enhancing confidence in decentralized futures globally and aligns with Euroclear’s broader strategy to advance digital infrastructure in financial markets. Recognizing the transformative potential of DLT in global capital markets, the launch of Euroclear’s D-SI service will support the development of innovative capabilities in the post-trade space.
