AI/MLGE Vernova Launches CERius™ Software to Boost Accuracy in Carbon Emissions Management

GE Vernova’s Digital business has introduced a carbon emissions management software called CERius™. This software aims to help energy companies improve the accuracy of greenhouse gas (GHG) calculations for scope 1 gas turbines by up to 33% using a reconciliation algorithm and Digital Twin technology powered by machine learning (ML) and data analytics. CERius automates GHG data collection, offers recommendations for carbon reduction efforts, provides scenario analysis, supports team collaboration, and facilitates standardized reporting based on GHG protocols. The software aims to help organizations better manage their emissions data, compliance reporting, and strategic planning, with a focus on decarbonization planning, multi-team collaboration, emissions tracking, and simplified compliance reporting. It is currently available as a pilot for GE Vernova customers, with general availability expected in early 2024.
